Hi All,
So ive had the car 2 days and cannot activate the online services , spoke to VW digital who say I have no privacy setting in the users section which is worrying as thats how they control online service to the car. Seen on this forum that the earlier cars had software level 2460 that needed updating.
Guess what mine is ? Yes 2460 so hoping when VW come back to me its a software update required.

2460 is the infotainment software, nothing to do with the main car software...

Check the settings in privacy linked to the user / specific car key used...

My vehicle was called in on Monday, I was told it needed the 90PV update even though I told them that it was perfect with no issues whatsoever. Got the car back Tuesday and not happy at all. All the drivers display settings gone, all the infotainment settings gone, in fact every setting gone but not to manufacturer settings, just really messed up.
Worst of all no connectivity, globe symbol missing, no privacy options in the users settings, so any and all of the vehicle systems that use online connectivity are dead. I now also have a dynamic cornering light error.
My dealer was apparently aware that there was a potential problem with connectivity that could be caused by the update but didn’t bother to tell me until after the update was complete and when I reported the issues. Needless to say I was not happy and to top it off the dealer attitude is well it’s a fault with no fix at this time.
I have no faith in them and have taken it up directly with VW online services department, also charged dealer to one with a very can do attitude.

I have had the 90PV update and have not had any of the software related issues you are describing. The update "caused" a hardware issue with the camera module that took over 5 weeks to fix due to unavailability of the part, but 1 week after getting the car back all seems fine and some of the issues I had previously (including reverse park mirror dipping) have been resolved.

What is the 90PV update ? apart from no privacy setting on my car I can press the voice button and say play radio 2 as it says b/c sounds isn't working and if I say another station it brings up different radio stations and tells me to press a line number, are all of these problems the same issue ?

90PV is the supposed cure all for the vehicles with the major problems however it seems that they are now applying it to all vehicles.
As I stated mine had no problems whatsoever even though it is a very early car.
It appears to either cure the problem cars or cause many and varied problems with others
