How long did you have to wait in weeks from going to the dealers to now?

Slightly envious of the other Irish orders on the way...

My order moved to production as scheduled in week 48 and has remained in that status since that date. The dealer tells me a call between the brand and the factory is due tomorrow, which sounds oddly ominous.

For reference, it's a PHEV with IQ Drive.

Your glass could be half full. :) A call to the factory could be good news. See my recent posting posting.php?mode=quote&p=1862

Well i've just been given a build date of week 4 and delivery expected at the dealer for the 3rd of March.
The car was ordered last August FFS!
I'm leasing through Leasing Options and i've lost confidence in them. Their communication is shite.

I've got the option of cancelling my Tig order and getting a Cupra Ateca 1.5etsi V2 instead - which is in stock.

Well, that means it's going to start building next week, if they're sure in that, I would probably wait, as I don't like Ateca at all. I'm waiting since July and have no new information at all...

Does anyone have more information what's happening, I heard from people who got March 2025 delivery delayed it changed to Dec 2026 now???

Things are getting out of control...

I will share what my dealer comes back with. If I’m honest, at this point I’m 50:50 if I want the car.

I had a Golf 8 for a period in 2021 and the experiences shared by others around software/hardware here read very much like that experience. In the end that car was returned to the dealer after 6 months of unfixable errors.

Ateca is in effect the Mk2 Tiguan so a very old design (originally launched in 2017 I think). The Cupra equivalent of the Mk3 Tiguan is the recently launched Terramar. Given the issues with the Mk3 Tiguan, reverting to the old model may seem attractive, but I fear it will look very old in 3 or 4 years time. Also I am currently driving a Cupra Formentor whilst my Tiguan is off the road. The suspension is very firm compared to my wife's Golf 8, presumably to satisfy Cupra's sporting intensions, and not very happy on our pothole ridden roads so strongly recommend you drive an Ateca before making a decision

Yeah, i'm not going to bother with the Ateca.
I't looks dated already to me.
