Not ideal, but on the plus side it will be a 25 plate rather than a 74 and it gives VW more time to come up with a version of the software that works properly

Better question is if we're getting it in march. Almost 90% order which I know have been moved to march.

Mine was due in November, and since then has been moved to march.
I hope that in march we won't get like June, and if that happens, I'm cancelling mine, waiting 1 year for it, is just a crazy thing...

I'm leasing mine through a leasing company.
If the date keeps getting put back there must be a point where it becomes unacceptable and i should be able to cancel and get any money back.
Still doesnt help me though because i'm going to be stuck without a car!

A further update on my order.

Yesterday my GB dealer said his computer tracking screen showed Wolfsburg was still planning to build my car before Christmas. He phoned "someone" to question why the information seemed out of date. "Someone" said it now is at stage 4 of 7 in the factory, and apparently that means it is literally half-built. Maybe the factory has run out of parts for cars with right-hand drive.

My recent order for a PHEV Elegance has just gone from production wk 16 to production week 51. My dealer does not know why. Can anyone explain this?
An update. Two days ago my friendly dealer said my order was in the factory at stage 4/7 through the build. Today he said it has left he factory, and I saw his internet page that confirmed this. So I will have a Thursday car  . He said the production of my car, planned for week 51 was probably delayed by Christmas. That implies that my car was built 20 days later than planned by the factory - and maybe yours will be too. Now just 4-6 weeks wait for the delivery to my friendly dealer.

I have my VIN number, which works on the owners manual search page....

Could this possibly be due to the fact that manufacturers have to ration supplies of ICE cars in the UK due to the ridiculous Government targets for EVs leading to £15000 fine per ICE car that breaks the threshold?
I assume these do not exist in Ireland, unless of course you are in NIl

I am not 100% sure on this. I am not familiar with the UK market. I think I may have gotten lucky with the fact that I ordered the most top end possible Tiguan and may have gotten one of the few that were getting batched. The only options I left out are the IQ Drive and the Leather package.
