Just a happy update:
My recent order for a PHEV Elegance has just gone from production wk 16 to production week 51. My dealer does not know why. Can anyone explain this?

Any update on this, was it a delay or has it been brought forward? Slightly worried as my ehybrid is due mid April.

Brought forward to the week before Christmas this year. My dealer said he just checked his sheet that compares his customer orders with manufacturing weeks. I do hope you, Tam22, also find your car gets made sooner than expected.

Cheers, not sure I want it that quick! Not installed outdoor socket and Karoq to sell.

I wonder if there was a cancellation and that brought one forward.

Nice xmas present for you though!

Hi all, just as a datapoint I’m in Ireland and ordered a PHEV Elegance in October, allocated a build week 48 (2024)

That’s interesting! Tends to confirm that delivery lead times in the UK are very long whilst not so in Ireland, which of course is in the EU.

Again, I suspect that this is due to the United Kingdom’s over zealous and unreasonable EV Sales targets meaning that manufacturers are fined £15000 per ICE car sold outside the target. Difficult when Joe Public doesn’t want EVs in sufficient numbers! Manufacturers will be forced to ration availability of ICEs in the UK to avoid fines!
Unfortunately, the EV sales target will increase each year so unless the UK Government gets a dose of reality, unlikely in my view, then things will only get worse!

Hi, I ordered new Tiguan 1.5eTSI in September and seler told me that it will come somewhere between 8-10 months... ( Live in Croatia). In your post you are mentioning production weeks and it seams like you are trecking this somewhere -> is there an VW official web site or app where you can track the status of your car?

Thank you,
I
