Yeah, I've heard of that "tinny" sound in some newer cars. Could be a few things, maybe a bad connection somewhere, or maybe the speakers just aren't that great.

In my opinion, the amplifier/equalizer is poorly designed, lacking a physiological volume control. This feature of the amplifier emphasizes low frequencies at low listening volumes. At high volumes, this emphasis is not needed. This is also reflected in the sound behavior in the Tiguan: if I set the bass at high volumes, then at low volumes the bass is indistinct.

hi, do you have any new info? do you still have a problem with the strange popping sound in the speaker or has something changed? nothing new for me, my speaker keeps cracking.

Update on my cracking/popping. Got the car back yesterday after having the 90PV software suite installed, and so far no strange noises from the front speakers. Also, I would say that it’s not as sensitive now with the sensors and warnings.
