Hi All,
I have 2024 Tiguan Life being delivered tomorrow and was wondering does the keyless go need the keys putting in a faraday pouch to stop relay theft.
Thanks
Keyless Go question
Keyless Go is not vulnerable to relay attacks as it does not have the walk-up unlocking, you need to press a button on the key to lock and unlock the car. So no need for a Faraday pouch.
The technology used with KESSY is the latest and do even cars with Keyless Entry should not need a Faraday pouch. However I do use one just to be safe

Base and Life have Keyless Go which means no ignition lock, key just has to be in the car for it to start. Match and above have Keyless Entry which allows doors to unlock on approach or by touching the handle and likewise lock on walking away. As I said before the Tiguan uses the latest keyless technology which means the key does have a sleep mode making it hard to clone from inside a property. Faraday Pouch is an added security and also limits the chances of the key being cleaned as you leave it after parking when the key has not yet gone to sleep.
Has the spec changed because Keyless entry was an additional option when I purchased my R Line ?elan2s wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 12:27 pmBase and Life have Keyless Go which means no ignition lock, key just has to be in the car for it to start. My mistake, had assumed that since the Match had Keyless entry that models above it also had it. R-Line only has Keyless Go182_blue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:32 pmHas the spec changed because Keyless entry was an additional option when I purchased my R Line ?elan2s wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 12:27 pmBase and Life have Keyless Go which means no ignition lock, key just has to be in the car for it to start.
