Has anyone experience speaker ‘pop’ with the standard speaker system?

Music sounds quite ‘tinny’ at low to mid volume and on occasion there will be a pop from the speaker. Unsure if there’s any issue or not as my MK2’s standard speaker system was superb.

The sound quality is fine on mine and I didn't have any pops unless I reset the headunit, well that was until I applied an update about a week ago and I think I may get the occasional pop but was never really sure if it was the stereo or something else.

Also since the same update I get a warning on the phone charger drivers side saying there's a credit card or similar in the way of the charger as in pic, it's not all the time but annoying all the same.

There is another post on here about this. You need to turn off the "voice enhancer" (or something to that effect) option in the sounds settings

Mine certainly isn't this as I found that setting, then again my sound is fine.

Yes, mine has the sound Pops and crackles on both DAB and streaming! Drives me MAD! I found turning off the Parking thing that constantly looks for a space helps although doesn't cure it totally. It's booked in for a Roof Control Module to be replaced on the 1st Oct (thats if its not gone back by then). Not sure what that will do but I'll keep you posted!

I also found the sound quality to be lacking but had never experienced to the pop sound until recently. I’m guessing an update must have came out recently that has now started to cause my speakers to pop.

To fix the poor sound quality I adjusted the focus point of the audio more towards the rear and adjusted the equaliser. This has improved the quality massively when the vehicle is stationary but I still find it lacking when driving unless the volume is turned right up. Otherwise it sounds quite tinny with little bass at low volumes.

I have a Harman/Kardon sound system in my Tiguan, but I am not satisfied with it. It sounds really tinny and much worse compared to the Canton sound system in my Skoda-Superb car. Bass can only be achieved at increased volume. The equalizer is poorly designed.

After coming back off holiday on Wednesday I noticed that my popping noises have stopped! Just been into the app updates and noticed that there has been two in the last few days!!!! Fingers crossed! At least I can turn my music up now to drown out the other squeals and groans

Yes there was two in quick succession so I guess they realised they broke some bits, my wireless charging is back to normal after the last update and haven't noticed a pop noise since either.

This is the exact issue I’m having with the stock speakers, if I’m driving and have the volume low there is very little to no bass, I have to turn it high to achieve bass but then the audio is too loud. It’s strange though because when I’m parked the bass is actually good at low volumes! Could it be a software issue with the equaliser?
