Anyone else had slight condensation in the corner of the IQ rear side lights, it's only on certain days when it's been cold overnight then warm in the day and only ever as bad as in the picture, haven't noticed it on any of the other lights.

Yes, my Match trim gets condensation in there - and so do most brands according to what I’ve read. They aren’t sealed apparently, it just clears by itself and is considered normal. Only a problem if water collects rather than just condensation I think - I’m not concerned about it.

Yeh I have come to think it's OK and probably more visible on this than my old car due to the Tiguan being clear lenses.

Had that in my previous Tig with standard lights. Replaced under warranty by the garage.

I have the same issue. Please can you update me on any action taken since you posted? Thank you

I think part of this is due to the switch from tungsten to LED technology. With tungsten bulbs the units had to be more resilient against condensation as the bulb contacts could start to corrode. With LED units where there is no need to allow for replacing bulbs as long as the LED unit itself is protected against water any other moisture in the unit is irrelevant. Likewise the contacts with he car electrics are behind the unit and effectively inside the car

I imagine the LED bulbs don't generate as much heat as older ones to help clear the condensation either. I've had various cars with LED bulbs over the last few years from different manufacturers and they all had this to some extent. I think it's just a fact of life with LEDs.

Another by product of ther lack of heat from LED lights is that snow can guild up on headlights far quicker that used to be the case with old fashioned halogen bulbs. Also you really need to scrape the frost off them in the morning
