A friend who has a BMW M3 managed to have it do an OTA software update whilst on a ferry across a river recently probably operator error!). Only problem was it disabled the drive system whilst doing it and that resulted in him having to do another round of back and forth crossing before the car would start. Given this and my previous experience of a VW dealer installed update going wrong I am more than happy to put up with the inconvenience of going to the dealer to perform updates like this

Chassis: Driver assistance systems: short-term failure when starting the vehicle or complete failure after the bus has stopped

The TPI was supplemented with an update of the infotainment to software 2460.

Target software for the front camera is 1323. This software version can only be tested with a tester.

The current infotainment version is 2460 (Address 5F: Information Electr.).
I don't understand.

Primarily in the service during computer diagnostics, it can also be done in private conditions using the VCDS SW etc.

Is VCDS working with the MK3, I was of the understanding that they currently can't bypass the security of the car ?
