Just an update on mine, software update has killed it! It can only help with my rejection fortunately!

I tried this in the summer and it just turns the fans inside the car on, I was hoping that the time setting would work for those cold mornings in winter to assist in de misting the car but when you set a time for it to start it just switches it back off and nothing happens. Car went in to have a roof conrtrol panel module replaced last week which was supposed to cure the random calls to vw assist and interference noises on the sound system. yes, i have that one, sounds like a motorised whine, similar to an old car with noisy power steering! Just added it to the list of noises that they just blame regen brakes for, like hissing etc etc

After coming back off holiday on Wednesday I noticed that my popping noises have stopped! Just been into the app updates and noticed that there has been two in the last few days!!!! Fingers crossed! At least I can turn my music up now to drown out the other squeals and groans
